About Your Coach:

Melanie Hansen

 With over 15 years experience specialising in women's health and wellbeing as a Nervous System and Somatics Therapist, Root Cause Therapy Practitioner, Integrative Women's Health and Nutrition Coach, Massage Therapist, Trauma Informed Relational Somatics, Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher and Breathwork Facilitator I created The Exhale Foundations, as an integrative approach to anxiety management, developed through years of practice and personal experience.

My Journey to This Work

My path to becoming an anxiety specialist began personally, struggling with debilitating stress and anxiety that left me feeling broken despite my outward success. While appearing composed externally, I was fighting an exhausting internal battle—waking at night with racing thoughts, canceling plans due to overwhelm, and feeling disconnected from the joy in my life.

Everything changed when I discovered nervous system regulation and somatic work. Learning to work with my body—not just my mind—transformed my relationship with anxiety. I remember the first time I felt truly calm in years; it was like coming home to myself.

 

 

This profound personal transformation became my calling. I've dedicated the past four years to refining my approach and helping women who are experiencing the same struggles I once faced. I see your exhaustion, understand your frustration with "quick fixes," and hold space for your journey with compassion.

Somatic Work: Healing Through Your Body


Somatic practices are body-centered techniques that recognise how emotions and stress are physically stored in your body. When you feel anxious, your muscles tense, your breathing changes and your nervous system activates—all physical responses. Through gentle movement, breath awareness, and guided physical exercises, somatic work helps you:

  • Identify where you hold tension in your body

  • Release physical patterns that maintain anxiety

  • Develop a deeper connection to your body's signals

  • Learn to physically "reset" when stress takes hold

Nervous System Regulation: Your Body's Stress Response
